One of the first tracks from the album that came to me over the summer. Inspired by events the previous spring, I really did intend for the song to be positive and *gasp* uplifting, although in retrospect it is a tad somber. It is also one of the (3) tracks that local drummer extraordinaire Brad Davis tracked the drums, which make's a huge difference.

Lately in my life
Moments weighing on my mind
Keep me up at night
Now I sit and stare
Across this empty desk
Staring at an empty chair
I think about the past

Still I carry on, left to wonder why

Working through the sadness
Working through the pain
Working through the madness
Driving me insane
Thinking about the future
And what my life may bring
I can't know for sure
So i raise my voice and sing
