1.
There have been some bad times Lately in my life Moments weighing on my mind Keep me up at night Now I sit and stare Across this empty desk Staring at an empty chair I think about the past Still I carry on, left to wonder why Working through the sadness Working through the pain Working through the madness Driving me insane Thinking about the future And what my life may bring I can't know for sure So i raise my voice and sing Still I carry on, living every day Still I carry on, so much left to say Still I carry on, left to wonder why Still i carry on, until the day I die

Silent shimmering stars Evening's moonlit glow Sky filled near and far Shifting flakes of snow Gentle whispering wind Blowing through the trees Chill upon the skin Signals shifting keys Moon and sun Wind and tree Son of nature Living free Crimson flowers in bloom Mountain stream runs clear Water cool in the sun The end of day draws near Slowly setting sun Darkness fills the air Shadows growing long Time to leave all cares Moon and sun wind and tree Waters run Mountain stream Son of nature Living free

Sits beside a fire Braced against the cold Snow falls through the night The trail goes on and on Horse and saddle are his home Heading for the setting sun Stoic rugged and alone Rides accross the plain Following the herd Sunshine snow and rain Sleep beneath the stars

Just Friends 03:44
When I look into your eyes I stare into a strange disguise I never know who you are Even though we've come so far Every time i get too near Your eyes close I sense the fear Open up and let me in Show me just what could have been Walk with me through the sand You need to see Need to understand Just what you mean to me
5.
Hanging out with my friends I don't know what we're gonna do Kickin' back trying to pretend That we don't care what you've got with you You're looking at a thing in a bag And you won't tell me what it is We're all standing by the stick You're taunting me with a thing in a bag So I go to get some drinks Enough for all of us cool guys I get two red one blue and then one orange When I get back it's no surprise... Looking at a thing in a bag It's freakin' awesome this thing in a bag Oh yeah, we're looking at a thing in a bag I mean, I think I'm a cool guy...

Run 03:58
Here it comes No turning back On the run Stuck on a track Don't stop It's bearing down Let it drop Going round and round Run! Never rest Too far to go Not a test All your dreams in tow Can't escape Our future's past Don't hesitate Life moves pretty fast
7.
She walks in the sunshine Old shoes on her feet Thinks back on a lifetime Spent wandering the streets Been so many places Travelled round the world Seen so many faces Walked so many roads Still she keeps on searching For where she belongs And someone to share in Her life's song Looking for someone who'll be there At the end of the day Someone there who wants to share their lives At the end of the day She thinks of the people That have come and gone And the few that seemed special That eventually moved on With so many memories Puts her back to the sun And continues the journey Sure that her day will come
8.
Maybe 02:21
Life can change You won't know when Until it's too late You think you know How life will be Maybe, maybe, maybe... not
9.
Goodbye 06:21
Pictures on the wall Friends who've come and gone Sometimes I sit and stare And think of what's been lost Too many people in my life Have left us far too soon I need to say goodbye Forever left to wonder why I had to say goodbye Shifting memories float by All the people that I've known Friends and family left behind As I set out on my own I never thought that I would find The beauty that you showed

I'm Alive 06:46
There have been good times In my life Moments of gladness When all things were right It's easy to lose Sight of the way Each of us must choose How to live everyday But I know, but I know I'm alive There will be bad times Struggles ahead hardships and sadness Keep me in bed I try to embrace All the good things Be happy and thankful For what the day brings But I know, but I know...

about

This was originally released in December of 2005. It had been a dark year for me and this was some dark music. There were, however, also some shining moments and overall it's my favorite collection of tunes to date.

The following is from the original liner notes.

I don't know if I had some sort of divine inspiration in me this year or if I am really becoming a better songwriter, but I feel that these are the best songs I have written, possibly in my life. I am very happy with every track on this collection (which is unusual, there's usually at least one song that I rush and don't feel that happy with). Of course the tracks could use some real musicians. I may very well retrack most of the songs with real players and re-release the album (possibly under a new name) and try to sell some CDs at CDBaby or some such places. I may also finally get off my arse and put a band together. I desperately want to play on stage again. We shall see, we shall see. But I have digressed...
